Looking back through previous posts over the years as well as through the newsletters I published prior to the existence of inezpe.com, I have consistently attempted to bring light to the fact that movement is vital not only to the health and wellness of our kids, but also to the cognitive development of kids. The research is clear, when the quantity and quality of movement is increased students perform better both in class as well as on tests. This increase should not only occur in the obvious places like before and after school, or during recess and PE, classroom teachers should also include physical activity in their lessons.
